I wouldn't say it cripples 360, after all XB live's implementation of the Netflix program is still better. Im not sure we should be knocking MS since it was them who had the foresight to go after this, and the desire to offer more features to their customers in the first place.
This is yet one more area in which the 360 led the way. Why is PS3 always late to the new and great ideas, and even after they get them they are not as good as the Xbox version?

the wifi adapter, how could i forget that. The controllers are priced fine. In fact I prefer controllers with swappable batteries. With PS3 you have to connect the short cabled controllers to the console to charge, or just stop playing till they charge back up. I have a crap load of rechargeable AA batts, I NEVER have to stop playing or sit on top of the console because of a dead battery. I just pop in a fresh pair.

Yeah that is one of the things I hate most about bluray, HDDVD was better in that regard, the difference between the best HDDVDs and the worst quality was far smaller than the difference in the best and worst on Bluray. Pretty much all HDDVDs were noticeably superior to DVD, while I have seen bluray movies that are difficult to even sit through they look so bad.
